GREEN POLICY: WE WORK SUSTAINABLY

The Historisches Kaufhaus is committed to preserving resources and minimising impact on the environment in the events industry. That is our contribution to the future and the climate – in keeping with the identity of our city: GREEN CITY FREIBURG.

The Historisches Kaufhaus uses 100% green energy from city energy provider badenova. We use almost exclusively recycled paper and have not used single-use tableware since1991.

The central location on Münsterplatz makes it possible for our guests and event organisers to travel here in an environmentally friendly way using public transport. As an added extra, we also offer value-for-money combi tickets:

• The event ticket from Deutsche Bahn using 100% green energy.
• The congress ticket in partnership with the Regio-Verkehrsverbund Freiburg (RVF), which comprises 20 transport companies from the city and the region. The congress ticket allows the free use of public transport.

In Freiburg, we cycle. The Freiburg bike sharing scheme Frelo has been available since 2019, set up by the city of Freiburg and Freiburger Verkehrs AG.
